Quick Hits:

The Cubs trailed 9-3 in the 5th inning before a furious rally culminating in an Adrian Cardenas three run triple that knotted the score at nine in the bottom of the 6th.  The Cubs once again fell behind in the 8th, only to rally once again to tie the game at ten in the bottom half on a two out run scoring infield single by Ha.  Marcos Mateo was unable to keep the game tied in the ninth, surrendering two runs on two hits.  Birght spots on the mound this afternoon were starter Rodrigo Lopez (Lopez Post Start Interview), Carlos Marmol, Trevor Miller, and Rafael Dolis, who all had scoreless outings.

Up Next:

The Cubs take on the Athletics once again on Monday, this time they will be facing an A’s split squad team.  Game is slated to start at 2:05 PM Central at HoHoKam Park in Mesa, Arizona.  Oakland is scheduled to send Bartolo Colon to the hill, while the Cubs will counter with Ryan Dempster.   The game will be broadcast on Gameday Audio on MLB.com and on WGN in Chicago.
