Jorge Soler Finally Declared a Free Agent

Cuban sensation Jorge Soler has been declared a free agent after establishing residency in the Dominican Republic.  The 20-year-old outfielder can now sign with any team and will probably do so before July 2, when the new restrictions on international signing begins.  As you recall the Cubs were rumored to have been very interested even to the point where it was speculated they had a deal in place for over $20MM.  These rumors were quickly denied since Soler had not been declared a free agent at the time.  Along with the Cubs there are several other teams who are very interested in Jorge Soler’s services.  This will be a big story around baseball and we will keep you updated throughout the process.
