September 6, 2012 – Cubs Lineup vs. Nationals

Hopefully the Cubs can keep the pitchers used tonight somewhere around 3-4, I don’t want to see seven trot out there again like last nights Spring Training B game.  The way Chris Volstad starts is going to have a lot to do with that tonight.  Volstad has been outstanding as of late winning his last two starts.  Here is how the Cubs will line up behind Volstad tonight as they face 17 game winner Gio Gonzalez.

Happy Labor Day to one and all, we get to celebrate by watching baseball at noon today!  Jeff Samardzija will make the start in the Nations Capital today as the Cubs lock horns with the Nationals for the first time in five months.  David DeJesus, and Brett Jackson will get the day off today, here is how the rest of the Cubs will line up.  Dave Sappelt will be making his first start as a Cub today.

Big time contenders invade Wrigley today as Madison Bumgarner and the Giants look to keep their quest for a NL West crown rolling.  Chris Volstad looks to build off his last start which his best start of 2012, by far, because he won.  It was his first win in over a calendar year, he will try to get his second win in the last two weeks today.  Here is how the Cubs will line up.

Please don’t get swept.  It’s been a nightmare season against the Brewers as the Cubs have lost all but three games, they’ve played 16 times!  Brooks Raley looks to finish off the season series with a win this afternoon against Shaun Marcum.  Anthony Rizzo is back in the lineup, while Alfonso Soriano gets a breather, here is how the rest of the Cubs will line up.
