6-7: Around the Minor League System

Minor League recap for June 7.

FULL BOXSCORE

Peoria’s pitching was magnificent once again as the Chiefs shutout Cedar Rapids on Thursday.  Michael Jensen got his sixth win of the season as he only gave up one hit and struck out seven in five innings.  Not to be outdone Felix Pena struck out five in two innings and Hunter Cervenka added two strikeouts in his two innings as he recorded his first save of the season.  Cervenka’s ERA now stands at 0.73.  Taiwan Easterling and Anthony Giansanti each had an RBI, which would prove to be all the Chiefs would need.
